Magician **A Poem**

Magician                   

Writing is this awful spell

I cannot dispel

My pen skates across paper ice

A magic wand I use to cast

Symbols for syllables

Incantation I can’t find

To tamp down the creative high

No illusionary trick

Numbs the pain

I saw myself in half

While pulling words

From a hat to make

Me disappear
