When I was a child, I was afraid of balloons. They seem quite harmless but, when someone was blowing them up, I would cringe in anticipation of a loud pop.
Twist something that is supposed to be fun or light and give it a sinister feel.
How about an evening walk in the first snowfall - cold, crisp, cheeks turning red, not a sound in the air. Wait. Not a sound in the air? All alone? Scary.

ReplyDeleteGood idea! I like it. Yeah, most people when they think of silent, moon-lit walks don't think of the fact that they are, indeed, alone.
