I love autumn, it's my favorite season. The weather turns from a humid, sizzling landscape to a cold collage of colors that don't feature green (not that I have a problem with green). It reminds me of beauty that comes from every stage of life, especially before our deepest dreams. Nature prepares for winter by feasting, giving, activity, and hue changes. We, as humans, never have a party that extensive for sleeping. Autumn also features my favorite day: Halloween.
What does this have to do with writing? Well, I could give you some bologna about most literary magazines opening their doors for a new publishing session as most take the summer off. Or I could tell you the coming season inspires poets like myself into a distorted frenzy of euphoria. When it comes down to it, I just love the season.
I guess this is my first post that doesn't have writing as a subject.
What is your favorite season?
